ما الذي نبحث عنه:

ندعو لتقديم مقترحات لكتابة وإنتاج تقارير استقصائية قصيرة ومؤثرة (مثل المقالات، أو الوسائط المتعددة) تتناول قضايا محددة تتعلق بالفساد وتأثيره على الاقتصاد السوداني، لإثراء مكتبة مركز السودان لمصادر مكافحة الفساد.

 

ما نقدمه للمشاركين في البرنامج:

  • منحة مالية: منحة قدرها 500 دولار أمريكي لدعم العمل الاستقصائي، تدفع بالمقابل المحلي.
  • توجيه خبراء: توجيه ودعم من صحفي استقصائي خبير، مطلع بشكل عميق على السياق السوداني وتعقيدات إعداد التقارير حول الفساد. سيساعد هذا التوجيه في تحسين المنهجية، والتغلب على التحديات، وتعزيز تأثير التقرير.

 

نتوقع أن تتميز المقترحات المثالية بما يلي:

  • التركيز على قضية فساد محددة بوضوح ضمن السياق الاقتصادي السوداني،
  • إظهار نهج استقصائي قوي: تحديد منهجيات واضحة لجمع البيانات، وجمع الأدلة، والتحليل (مثل: تحليل الوثائق، المقابلات، صحافة البيانات، المصادر المفتوحة)،
  • إبراز التأثير المحتمل: شرح كيف يمكن للتقرير أن يسهم في الوعي العام، أو الدعوة إلى الإصلاح، أو زيادة المساءلة،
  • أن يكون التقرير قابل للتنفيذ خلال 30 يوم عمل من بداية التكليف (سيتم مناقشة التفاصيل حول الطول المتوقع/الجدول الزمني مع المتقدم الفائز)،
  • إظهار الإلمام بالسياق السوداني وتحدياته الفريدة للصحفيين والباحثين،
  • المرونة والقابلية لتعديل المقترح بالتشاور مع الخبراء المشرفين.

متطلبات التقديم:

يرجى تقديم الاتي:

  1. مقترح موجز (بحد أقصى 50 كلمة) يتضمن ما يلي:
    1. عنوان المشروع: عنوان موجز ومقنع لتقريرك الاستقصائي.
  • ب‌. ملخص: لمحة موجزة عن التحقيق المقترح، وفرضيته المركزية، والنتائج المتوقعة.
  • ج. المنهجية: خارطة لمصادر البيانات، وتقنيات التحقيق (على سبيل المثال، ما هي الوثائق التي ستسعى إليها؟ من ستجري مقابلته؟ ما هي البيانات التي ستحللها؟).
  • د. الجدول الزمني: تحديد الأنشطة والمدة الزمنية لكتابة التقرير (في فترة 30 يوم عمل)،
  • ه. النتائج/التأثير المتوقع: كيف تتوقع أن يسهم تقريرك في فهم أو معالجة قضايا الفساد والاقتصاد في السودان؟
  1. سيرة ذاتية موجزة: خبرتك ذات الصلة في الصحافة أو البحث أو جهود مكافحة الفساد ان وجدت (لا تشترط الخبرة السابقة)،
  2. تحديد مكان الإقامة.

الموعد النهائي لتقديم الطلبات: 23 يونيو 2025 (يتم فرز المتقرحات بصورة دورية، لذلك ننصح بالإسراع في التقديم).

The Sudan Anti-Corruption Resource Center (SACR) offers you the opportunity to participate in a Journalism Fellowship Program to produce investigative reports that shed light on the challenges of corruption and the economy in Sudan.

What We are Looking for:

We invite proposals to write and produce short, impactful investigative reports (such as articles or multimedia) that address specific issues related to corruption and its impact on the Sudanese economy, to enrich the SARC’s library.

 

What we Offer to the Program’s Participants:

  • Financial grant: A $500 grant to support investigative work, paid locally.
  • Expert mentorship: Mentorship and support from an experienced investigative journalist with deep knowledge of the Sudanese context and the complexities of reporting on corruption. This mentorship will help improve methodology, overcome challenges, and enhance the impact of the report.

 

We Expect Ideal Proposals to:

  • Focus on a clearly defined corruption issue within the Sudanese economic context,
  • Demonstrate a strong investigative approach: define clear methodologies for data collection, evidence gathering, and analysis (e.g., document analysis, interviews, data journalism, open sources),
  • Highlight potential impact: explain how the report can contribute to public awareness, advocate for reform, or increase accountability,
  • Be feasible within 30 working days of the assignment (details regarding the expected length/timeline will be discussed with the winning applicant),
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Sudanese context and its unique challenges for journalists and researchers,
  • Be flexible and willing to adjust the proposal in consultation with supervising experts.

 

Who Can Apply:

This call is open to young Sudanese journalists of both genders based inside and outside Sudan.

 

Application Requirements:

Please submit the following:

  1. A brief proposal (maximum 50 words) that includes the following:
  1. Project Title: A concise and compelling title for your investigative report.
  2. Summary: A brief overview of the proposed investigation, its central hypothesis, and expected outcomes.
  3. Methodology: A map of data sources and investigative techniques (e.g., what documents will you seek? Who will you interview? What data will you analyze?).
  4. Timeline: Identify activities and the timeframe for writing the report (within 30 working days).
  5. Expected Outcomes/Impact: How do you expect your report to contribute to understanding or addressing corruption and economic issues in Sudan?
    1. Brief CV: Your relevant experience in journalism, research, or anti-corruption efforts, if any (previous experience is not required).
    2. Specify your place of residence.

 

Application deadline: June 23, 2025 (proposals are reviewed periodically, so we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible).
